Traverse City man charged with criminal sexual conduct

TRAVERSE CITY — A Traverse City man faces criminal sexual conduct charges after he allegedly assaulted a girl several times over the summer in Grand Traverse County.

Police arrested Shaun Dena Brown, 34, on Feb. 27. He is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Brown is accused of sexually assaulting a friend's female relative. Court records show the incidents occurred at a home in Interlochen and at a Traverse City park between June and August 2012.

Brown is held in jail without bond, according to court records. A preliminary examination is scheduled for March 14.
