INTERLOCHEN — Theresa Morgan, 88, of Interlochen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Munson Medical Center.
Theresa was born on April 7, 1924, in East Jordan, to the late Frank and Emma (Weisler) Tafelsky. She married Edwin T. Morgan on July 29, 1950 in Traverse City. Together they lovingly raised two sons.
Theresa was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, animals and most of all, spending time with her family. She especially loved watching her grandchildren grow into beautiful adults and was even blessed with meeting her great grandson.
Surviving Theresa is her husband Edwin of 62 years; sons, Daniel (Michelle) Morgan, Stephen (Colleen) Morgan; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebecca Morgan, Jenifer (Timothy) Zywicki, and Jonathan (Sarah) Morgan; great-grandson Dylan; a brother, Leonard Tafelsky and many other loving family members and friends.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents; infant son Thomas; brothers Joseph, Philip, and Charles Tafelsky; and sisters Inez Lehnhardt, Martha Robbins and Ann Weber.
Visitation will be held for Theresa from 2 to 4 p.m., today, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a rosary held at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
