TRAVERSE CITY — Anna Elizabeth Grajek, 91, passed away Nov. 22, 2012, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Anna was born Aug. 26, 1921, to Herman and Annie (Mader) Ruppel. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Jim) Safoutin, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tara (Michael) Frost and Ryan (Aris) Safoutin; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Jack Safoutin; daughter, Janice Akans of Traverse City; granddaughter, Christa (Bill) Corwin; granddaughter Lynn (Russ) Gorman; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Corwin; son, Henry (Ann) Grajek of Evart; and grandsons, Billy and Nathan Grajek.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin John Grajek; grandson, Rick Akans; and her two brothers and two sisters.
No services will be held in Michigan. Anna will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Washington, D.C., at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
