Leon Vietzke waxes poetic about the toys of his youth, including Erector Sets, like the one he used to build this working robot.

"The Erector Sets were, I think, probably the ultimate at making you think, study and actually learn something, and actually (put) together something with nuts and bolts," he said.

Vietzke's toys, and others, will be on display at the Grand Traverse Heritage Center on Sixth Street in Traverse City this weekend.
