CEDAR -- A free hunter safety class is offered by the Cedar Rod and Gun Club.
Classes begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, running until 5 p.m. on both days. Advance registration is not required.
Children must be at least 9 years old and parents are encouraged to attend. All materials, including ammunition and firearms, will be provided.
Saturday is a classroom day and participants should meet at Glen Lake High School cafeteria, 3375 W. Burdickville Road in Maple City.
Sunday will be spent on the shooting range and participants should meet at the club, 8075 S. Sullivan Road in Cedar.
Students are asked to bring a No. 2 pencil, plus their full name, address, phone number and weather-appropriate clothing.
