TRAVERSE CITY -- A Leelanau County man faces charges for allegedly forging checks.
Daniel Albarran, 21, is charged with six counts of uttering and publishing. He hadn't been arrested Thursday morning.
A credit union employee told police Albarran allegedly presented six checks for cash totaling $5,100 in July 2007. Police later discovered the man who appeared to have written the checks to Albarran didn't have the ability to do so, court records show.
