Glads, Ramblers take LMC ski meet

Traverse City St. Francis won the boys' meet while Boyne City secured the girls' title Thursday at Nubs Nob in the final regular season Lake Michigan Conference meet.

The Glads scored 49 points for first, followed by Boyne City (61), Harbor Springs (80), Grayling (106) and Charlevoix/East Jordan (162).

Boyne City's Kaleb McNamara won the slalom in 53.90 seconds, followed by Harbor Springs' Drake Doherety (54.10), Keaden Hornyak (55.36) and Stephen Siddall (55.52) from St. Francis and Grayling's Mike Olson (56.61).

McNamara also won the giant slalom in 48.23, followed by Doherety (48.77) Boyne City's Mike Cartright (49.41), Tyler Hansen (49.67) and Cole McCardel (50.16) from St. Francis.

The Ramblers won the girls' meet with 53 points, followed by the Rams (61), the Glads (77), the Vikings (137), Charlevoix/East Jordan (152) and Elk Rapids (203).

Harbor Springs' Andi Shepherd won the slalom in 50.71, followed by Christina Roland (51.42) and Kaitlyn Bohnet (52.74) from Boyne City, Mary Gocha (53.22) from Charlevoix/East Jordan and Lillian Wiley (53.75) from St. Francis.

Roland won the giant slalom (55.67) followed by Shepherd (56.96), Harbor Springs' Cooper Dendel (57.34), Gocha (59.07) and Bohnet (1:01.00)
