TRAVERSE CITY -- Two local men face felony charges after each was arrested for his third drunken-driving offense.
Scott Bassett, 55, of Traverse City, was charged Wednesday with felony drunken driving after authorities said he drank whiskey, then drove along Arborview Drive in Garfield Township. A Grand Traverse sheriff's deputy arrested Bassett on Feb. 16.
Preliminary breath tests showed Bassett had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the state's legal limit.
Michael Krumie, 50, of Interlochen, also was charged Wednesday with felony drunken driving after police pulled him over near Toni Trail in Green Lake Township for "improper lane use" and "erratic driving," court records show.
A Michigan State Police trooper arrested Krumie on Feb. 20.
Preliminary breath tests showed Krumie had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the state's legal limit.
