Gloria Louise Breon

CADILLAC — Gloria Louise Breon, of Cadillac, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 75. She was born April 29, 1937, in San Jose, Calif., to Joseph Louis and Vera Ruby (Taylor) Botill.

She worked as a registered nurse at Autumnwood of McBain, Lakeview Lutheran Manor and Mercy Amicare Hospice in the home health area.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved her grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for Riley. She was a helpful person and a wonderful caretaker of others. She was known for her great fudge.

She was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Vicki) Breon, of Mansfield, Pa., Tim (Crystal) Breon, of Williamsport, Pa., and Kim (Joel) Dorgan, of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Beth (Ryan) Smith, Adam Breon and Riley Dorgan; great-grandchildren, Rylie and Madison Smith and Ryder Root; sisters, Nancy Benson, of Cadillac, and Gerry (Roy) Bray, of Troy; and nieces and nephews, Rick (Kelly) Benson, Scott (Leslie) Benson, Brian Benson, Kelly Calehuff, Sherry (Joe) Long, Phil (Dana) Martin and Jason Bourassa.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dick Bourassa; parents; stepfather, Richard Bourassa; and brother-in-law, Dick Benson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac, with Msgr. Francis J. Murphy serving as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cadillac. Friends may meet the family today from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
