Lane to close on Silver Lake Road

TRAVERSE CITY -- A lane closure is set for this week on Silver Lake Road in Garfield Township.

Workers with the Grand Traverse County Road Commission will reduce traffic to one lane on Thursday and Friday, weather permitting. The affected area is along Silver Lake Road, between South Airport and Barnes roads, along the new YMCA property near West Middle School.

Workers will build a center turn lane to allow traffic to enter the new YMCA with minimal impact to passing traffic.

Motorists should expect delays and alternate routes are suggested.
