TRAVERSE CITY -- A contract to design and build the Old Town parking deck is among issues on the city commission's latest agenda.
City commissioners on Monday will consider:
-- Authorizing an agreement with a Southfield-based company to design and construct the Old Town parking deck. It would be contingent on finalizing a state grant to cover the roughly $328,000 contract.
-- A possible neighborhood enterprise zone along Eighth Street between Franklin and Rose streets. The program provides tax incentives to develop and rehabilitate residential housing where it might not otherwise occur. Commissioners could schedule a public hearing for March.
-- Enacting zoning changes to allow driveways off streets in the downtown C-4 regional center zones, under certain circumstances. Proposed modifications were sparked by a planned hotel with underground parking in the Warehouse District.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Ave.
