'Trunk O Ween'
Traverse City — Long Lake Friends Church will host a community "Trunk O Ween" Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Families are invited to stop by from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 4172 Church Road, for free candy, refreshments, games, coffee and hot cider.
ER Women meet
Elk Rapids — The Elk Rapids Women will meet Thursday, Nov. 1, for an update on election proposal issues from Legislative Chair Bonnie Nothoff. There also will be a review of future events.

Manton — An old-time jamboree will be hosted from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Manton School. Admission is by donation. Proceeds go to the Manton Area Heritage Restoration Group for acquisition and restoration of the granary. Call 824-3391 for details.

Interlochen — Interlochen Center for the Arts presents the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight Concert Band on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Holiday craft show
Buckley — Holiday gift items will be available Saturday, Nov. 3, at a craft show, bake sale and silent auction hosted by Tabernacle Church.
The fundraiser will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Buckley Community School. Lunch will be available. Proceeds go to the Tabernacle Benevolence Fund to help those in need in Buckley and surrounding communities.
Traverse City — Bethany Christian Services will offer programs designed to give people opportunities to learn about adoption and foster care and to support those who have adopted through the Michigan foster care system.
"Discover Bethany Adoption" will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Bethany Traverse City office, 1055 Carriage Hill Dr., with details about international, domestic, infant and state adoption programs.
Free adoption and foster care information will be available Thursday, Nov. 8, also at Bethany's Traverse City office. Intercountry adoption will be addressed from 9 to 11 a.m. Information on state adoption and foster care will be presented from 1 to 4 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
