Army Staff Sgt. Tracy A. Labrecque has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal.

The medal is awarded to members of the U.S. Armed Forces, who while serving in any capacity with the Army have distinguished themselves by meritorious service or achievement while serving in a combat or non-combat area.

Labrecque is a vocalist assigned to the U.S. Army Field Band at Fort George G. Meade, Md. The staff sergeant has served in the military for four years.

She is the daughter of Richard and Sharon Labrecque of Sequim, Wash. Labrecque graduated in 2003 from Interlochen Arts Academy, Mich., and received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from the Cleveland Institute of Music, Ohio.

Air Force Airman Donald J. Ball has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Ball is the son of James Ball of Marion, and Lucinda Molzan Perry. He is a 2012 graduate of Mesick Consolidated High School.
