Peacock nets the game-winner

Jake Peacock scored with 5:55 remaining Saturday night to give the Bay Reps a 5-4 win over Manistee in a high school hockey game.

Conor Cocking drew the assist.

Andrew Zelinski had a goal and two assists to pace the Reps (5-6, 3-0). Craig Miller, Ryan Farley and Luke McDiarmid also scored. Jacob Soenen picked up two assists while Peacock and Anthony Armour each had one.

Manistee, which jumped out to a 2-0 lead, scored three power-play goals and one short-handed goal in the contest. The Reps also had three power-play tallies.

The Reps travel to Midland on Saturday.

Bay Reps rally for win over Trojans

Jake Soenen cleared the puck up the boards, and Traverse City Central's season was abruptly over. The Bay Reps pressured the Trojans all game long on Wednesday and came away with an upset in the second round of the Division 2 playoffs.

Trojans come out 'flying' in hockey win

TC Central posts hockey win over Gaylord

Traverse City Central won a somber decision over Gaylord in its Big North Conference final. Central players wore blue-and-gold No. 17s on their helmets in honor of Gaylord hockey player Levi Coger, who was killed in a Dec. 13 sledding accident.
