TRAVERSE CITY -- Four area hockey players have been selected to play for Team Michigan in the inaugural Minnesota High School Showcase April 23-25 in Plymouth, Minn.
Out of 120 players trying out for the team, Traverse City West forward Shane Totten and TC Central forward Jared VanWormer made the final 20, along with Cadillac goaltender Michael Boike and forward Will Badner.
The Minnesota High School Showcase is scouted by many Junior A and college teams.
Team North could just as easily be named Team Traverse City, Sault Ste. Marie and Marquette. But Team North has a better ring to it.
