TRAVERSE CITY — The board for Traverse City Light & Power will weigh two land purchase options for a new south sub station when members meet in a study session today at 5:30 p.m. in the Governmental Center.
The city-owned utility will consider purchasing 1.3 acres next to an existing Wolverine Power Cooperative substation on LaFranier Road, or 30 acres farther south on LaFranier.
TCL&P needs about 1 acre for its new substation.
The board also will review options regarding its search for a new executive director. No action will be taken on either item until the board meets on Feb. 26.
