Authorities think youth broke into school

SUTTONS BAY -- Police are looking for a youth who they believe broke into the Suttons Bay elementary and junior high building.

Suttons Bay Police Chief Del Moore said someone broke in through a classroom window sometime Aug. 22 or 23 and stole a few boxes of candy from a cabinet. Blood on the window and floor of the building indicate the suspect, who police believe was young, cut his or her foot in the process.

"We're looking for a youth who has a pretty good gash in the bottom of his right foot," Moore said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Suttons Bay Police Department at 271-3051.
