Restoring dignity, smiles

Kudos to the Heaven D.E.N.T. team (Delighting the Edentulous with New Teeth), including all the doctors and the labs that were involved. It touched my heart to see what a great thing they did for those who really need it and can't afford dental work.

I have always been privileged to have dental insurance, for which I am very thankful, but my heart goes out to those who need it and cannot get it because of inability to pay.

There should be more angels like those on the Heaven D.E.N.T. team. They fixed more than smiles; they restored dignity.

Refund my retirement tax

Give back my money. In January 2011, Gov. Snyder is sworn in. February 2011, he announces retirement tax. I would've liked to hear that in November 2010. In January 2012, suddenly we have a a $630-plus million surplus even before my first retirement tax deduction.

Now Michigan Democrats want to pay for college educations for every kid in the state and Attorney General Bill Schuette wants to hire 1,000 law enforcement officers.

Refund my retirement tax money, and stop spending like lotto winners playing Santa Claus. Repeal the retirement tax law.
