Vote carefully Nov. 6
Vote carefully. If we are not selective when we vote Nov. 6, women throughout the United States will lose control of their reproductive rights. The far right has taken over one of the major political parties with a platform that dictates women will have no choice to terminate any pregnancy even if caused by rape or incest or threatens the life of the woman.
There's a video, even
Candidate Romney complains that 47 percent of Americans "are dependent upon government" and "believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it." These "takers," he says, "should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
So he's saying the hard-working poor are shiftless and lazy? And that's why they're poor?
You want a picture of "feels entitled?" I give you a room full of multimillionaires staring down at their $50K plates, conniving with their home-boy to keep ever more of the nation's wealth to themselves. There's a video, even.
Don't change Constitution
Voters, beware. The ads on television promoting proposals 2, 3 and 4 are purposely deceitful. They fail to mention that the proposals, if passed, will change the state Constitution. Even if you are for the ideas in the proposals, we should all be wary of changing the state Constitution for any specific interest group. I was suckered into signing a petition for "better background checks for home health care workers" without being told it was to change the constitution. Vote no on 2, 3, and 4.
