Give me the money
This the silly season again — the presidential election year(s), the time to raise and spend big money to get my (not our) man elected. So, campaign hard, promise much (never mind delivering on them) and meet "the people" (will vary, depending on your party affiliation).
For some, the choice is ethnic, others financial, others "what's in it for me — free," while for a few it's the national interest. Get ready for kisses, smiles, outrageous "commitments" and other silly stuff. To hell with the country; what I want is the office, and the money.
