All votes count
Last November we had our presidential election. The candidate I supported was not my first choice. An honorable man with many good values, but definitely not behind all I considered important. He lost!
Much later I learned that many conservative voters like me stayed home. Had I also stayed home then I could be congratulating myself for "helping to elect the winners."
I could also take credit for that massive pork-filled spending bill -- endless debt; for selective bank takeovers --- bailouts; for past and future billions to bailout two mismanaged and now government car companies; for the still-rising unemployment numbers; for trying to force through government health care; for planning to give amnesty to 20 million illegals and their families (as revealed by President Obama from Mexico) while leaving our borders open for anyone ... including terrorists.
Not enough? Well, still looming is Gitmo's closing, card check and cap and trade (which will likely destroy businesses, jobs and raise prices on "everything"), plus that pesky little thing called getting radio's free speech under control and let's not forget all of Michigan's problems.
Remember, votes and non-votes both count.
