'Great Americans'
If you don't really believe in the man-made global warming "bunk," then do away with the Environmental Protection Agency.
If you would like to get rid of the whining middle class and do something to help the very rich "job makers," then vote straight Republican.
Don't forget to "drill, baby, drill."
Keep up the good work and be sure to let AM radio be your guide because Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are "great Americans."

Commitment made it
It was great news to read in the Record-Eagle that the capital campaign to build a new YMCA achieved its goal of $12 million. The Y is a community asset that is in desperate need of upgrading, and we all should thank the donors and the YMCA volunteers that made this possible.
The donors gave the money to make this happen, but there is a tireless group of volunteers that worked on raising the capital since 2007.
We owe the team at the Y a debt of gratitude for never giving up on this dream. There were many bumps along the way but Tom VanDeinse never gave up the ghost when many in our community thought the project may be dead.
The capital campaign team exhausted every way possible to get to the goal, but it was sheer determination and commitment that made it happen.
All of us will be fortunate to have this facility available because a YMCA is for everybody. I appreciate one and all for making this dream a reality for all of us.
