Not Hate-Free TC?
In response to Nick Harris' Feb. 27 letter "Rewriting History," I only can say that it is one of the more mean-spirited letters that I have read recently. Referring to the first lady as the "anointed princess queen" is cruel.
Perhaps you could dig a little deeper into the words about her and the president "rewriting American history." Further, to whom or what are you referring when you mention the names Stalin, Hitler and Castro? Are you insinuating that our president is a Nazi, a Communist or that he falls under the same heading of murderers and deniers of human rights?
You may not agree with the president and Mrs. Obama, and that's OK. You may be a supporter of Dick Cheney, whom you mentioned when you said "Joe Biden says Dick Cheney is not allowed to rewrite history." You then mention that the police departments are sweeping things under the rug. Is this a totally different thought that you've incorporated into the above statements?
Look, I didn't agree with George W. Bush or Dick Cheney, but I didn't refer to them as Nazis and Communists and I didn't trash Laura Bush, either.
I thought this was "Hate-Free TC."
