Concert in the park

East Jordan — Full Circle will perform at the Friday, July 6, Concert in the Park series.

The group will play from 7 to 9 p.m. at the park in East Jordan. Music lovers should bring their own seating. Concerts will continue on Fridays through Aug. 10.

Petoskey rocks

Petoskey — Petoskey Rocks! is a new summer event from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 17.

This Friday, July 6, artists from the Petoskey area will explan and demonstrate their talent at various venues and "The Muppets" will be shown in the park. There also will be music, free horse-drawn carriage rides and more. For details, visit petoskeydowntown.com or call 622-8501.

TCHS reunion

Traverse City — The Traverse City High School class of 1992 will hold its 20-year reunion Sunday, July 8.

The get-together will be from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Hagerty Center, 715 E. Front St. There will be hors d'oeuvres, some desserts, dancing, karaoke and games. A cash bar, a 50/50 raffle and a photo booth also will be available. The cost is $28 per person.

Keillor shares stage

Interlochen — The live broadcast of "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor on Saturday, July 7, from Interlochen will include performances by Interlochen Arts Academy and Summer Arts Camp faculty and students.

The show will be broadcast at 5:45 p.m. from Interlochen's Kresge Auditorium on Interlochen Public Radio's Classical Music Channel 88.7 FM Interlochen, 88.5 FM Mackinaw City, and 100.9 FM East Jordan/Charlevoix.

Computer classes

Elk Rapids — The Elk Rapids District Library will offer free computer basics classes at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, and 6 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the library, 300 Isle of Pines. Registration is required; call 264-9979 or email erlibprograms@gmail.com.

Senior luncheon

Interlochen — Area senior citizens are invited to a luncheon on Monday, July 9, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, U.S. 31 and Rogers Road.

Chair exercises will start at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon with a special table for veterans. There also will be games and cards and an exchange table

Genealogists meet

Kalkaska — Dave Carter of Carter's Cemetery Preservation Inc. will discuss cemetery and headstone preservation at the Monday, July 16, meeting of the Kalkaska Genealogical Society.

Kalkaska HS reunion

Kalkaska — The Kalkaska High School class of 1977 is planning its 35-year reunion. Reservations are due Friday, July 20.

Statewide survey

Lansing — The State Office of Services to the Aging has launched the Michigan Aging and Disability Needs Assessment, a statewide survey to help direct future funding and planning for programs, services and public policies.

Adults ages 50 and older and individuals with disabilities are invited to complete the survey between now and July 31. It may be accessed at needsmichigan.com. Survey results will be available in September.
