TRAVERSE CITY — Police arrested an Interlochen man they said was drunk and disorderly at a Traverse City McDonald's.

The Traverse City Police Department responded to McDonald's on East Front Street today just before 1 a.m. to a report of a drunken man running through the parking lot and punching cars. When officers arrived, they found the man trying to climb through the drive-thru window.

The officers arrested the man when he refused to leave the property. Police said he tried to kick out the windows of the police car and assault the arresting officer.

The suspect, 23, was taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail for resisting and obstructing police, attempted malicious destruction of police property and trespassing.
