TRAVERSE CITY -- The Father Fred Foundation extended its annual Frostbite Food Drive a few extra days this week to top last year's turnout, and it worked.
The food drive received 58 pallets of food, up from 56 last year, and more than $35,000 in cash, the foundation staff said.
Organizers said this year's drive netted a record amount of donated items.
