TRAVERSE CITY — A "traffic calming" expert will speak to city officials and the public about roundabouts.
Florida-based Ian Lockwood, a transportation engineer who specializes in traffic calming, will speak to the public about roundabouts from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the Hagerty Center at Northwestern Michigan College's Great Lakes Campus. Lockwood will then speak with city commissioners at their 7 p.m. meeting inside the Governmental Center on Boardman Avenue.
The city is considering putting a series of roundabouts on Division Street between Eighth Street and Grandview Parkway.
