TRAVERSE CITY — A woman’s early-morning drunken dials to 911 resulted in another man’s trip to jail.
An intoxicated female at a residence off South Orchard Way, in Leelanau County’s Elmwood Township, dialed 911 several times while attempting to take the battery out of her phone Sunday shortly before 6 a.m.
Leelanau County deputies were dispatched to the residence and discovered several “highly intoxicated” people, authorities said in a release. Among them was Abel Garza, 23, of Interlochen, who was wanted on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant in Grand Traverse County.
Garza was arrested and turned over to Grand Traverse County sheriff’s deputies.
