TRAVERSE CITY — Deputies arrested a Fife Lake man on what authorities said was his seventh drunk driving offense.
A Grand Traverse sheriff's deputy on Wednesday arrested the man, 48, after he rolled his vehicle on U.S. 131 in Fife Lake Township about 2:30 a.m. The man ran off into the woods after the crash, and a deputy found him hiding behind a tree.
A breath test revealed the man was drunk, authorities said. He had six prior drunken driving arrests, and his license had been suspended.
