TRAVERSE CITY — A Traverse City man faces a felony drug charge after a deputy said he watched him smoke crack cocaine.
Authorities charged Richard Paul O'Brien, 48, with possessing fewer than 25 grams of cocaine, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/or $25,000.
A Grand Traverse sheriff's deputy this month witnessed O'Brien place crack cocaine into a pipe, then smoke it, court records show. He handed over additional crack cocaine to the deputy, authorities said.
