TRAVERSE CITY — A Kalkaska woman falsely reported that a man sexually assaulted her in a hotel room, police said.
Authorities charged Susan Marie Perry, 31, with false report of a felony after she told Michigan State Police this month that a man sexually assaulted her in his room at Turtle Creek Casino. The felony is punishable by up to four years in prison and/or $2,000.
She told police a man forced himself on her, then chased her as she fled his hotel room, court records show. But surveillance video showed the woman leaving the hotel room without chase.
Police have yet to arrest Perry.
