TRAVERSE CITY —
A Garfield Township man faces a sex charge.
Michael Lee Danielson, 34, is charged with assault to commit sexual penetration. Police arrested him after a Sunday incident at his residence.
A woman told Grand Traverse sheriff’s deputies that when she dropped Danielson off at his residence, he took her keys and purse and went inside.
When she went to retrieve her belongings, he grabbed her and said he would “have his way with her,” deputies said.
He threw her on the bed and told her he was going to have sex with her, court documents show. When she fought back, he struck her in the face and choked her, deputies said.
She eventually was able to escape when she bit Danielson and ran off.
