GAYLORD -- Police arrested a confused man who broke into a home south of Gaylord.
Police were called Friday around 8:10 p.m. to a residence on Old 27 in Otsego County's Otsego Lake Township when the homeowners returned and heard somebody in their basement. Authorities arrested a Petoskey man, 46, for home invasion.
"He was disoriented and said he was hungry and was looking for a place to stay," said Sgt. Denny Reynolds of the Michigan State Police post in Gaylord.
The man did not have a weapon, and his name is being withheld by authorities until he is arraigned on Monday.
