KINGSLEY -- A Kingsley man could face a local criminal charge after he allegedly fought with officers who attempted to arrest him on a federal warrant.
Lynn N. Ealy was living in a small camper trailer in a "remote wooded" area near Kingsley, police said. He was wanted by the U.S. Marshall Service for violating parole on an earlier federal tax evasion conviction, Grand Rapids-based deputy U.S. Marshall Mark Hessler said.
Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies went to arrest Ealy, 56, at about 3 a.m. Friday. Ealy allegedly resisted, so deputies used a Taser to subdue and arrest him on the felony warrant.
Deputies plan to seek a local charge of resisting and obstructing police officers.
