TRAVERSE CITY — Munson Healthcare signed a new agreement with Charlevoix Area Hospital.
The "regional affiliation agreement" will open Charlevoix's access to services available through the Traverse City-based Munson. Munson officials said the agreement does not change ownership or management of the Charlevoix hospital, which remains nonprofit and independent.
The pact extends a 2004 "rural health network agreement" between Charlevoix and Munson Medical Center. The new agreement gives Charlevoix access to more support.
