Keillor coming back to Interlochen

INTERLOCHEN — Garrison Keillor will not go gentle into that good night.

Keillor is bringing his popular public radio show, “A Prairie Home Companion,” back to the Interlochen Center for the Arts this summer.

The show is scheduled for July 7. Tickets go on sale to the general public April 20 and will range in price from $33.50 to $50.50, said Maureen Michaels, regional marketing and communications manager at Interlochen.

Keillor first announced his retirement in 2011 and performed the show at Interlochen that summer. Since then, David O’Neill, the show’s marketing director, said in an email to Minnesota Public Radio News that Keillor has no specific plans to retire.
