Lockdown at Traverse City school after call

TRAVERSE CITY — School officials initiated a lockdown at Traverse City High School due to a threatening phone message left on a teacher's voice mail.

The lockdown lasted about 90 minutes Monday while Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies searched the building.

The message contained "a very vague, anonymous threat" about a bomb in the building, said Christine Davis, Traverse City Area Public Schools' Human Resources executive director.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the threat, Davis said.
