11 am: Man guilty in rape case

TRAVERSE CITY — Jurors today found a Buckley man guilty of beating and raping a woman.

Charles Elmer Kovary, 38, was convicted in 13th Circuit Court on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a count of first-degree home invasion.

His sentencing is scheduled for March 23.
