TRAVERSE CITY —
Four finalists have been chosen — from a field of 17 — for National Cherry Queen.
The finalists will participate in several National Cherry Festival events, beginning July 7 and leading up to the coronation ball Friday, July 13, at the Park Place Hotel. The current queen is Jordan Blaker.
- Ashley Wade is a 2007 graduate of Lake City High School and a 2011 graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in applied arts. She will begin working on a master's degree in speech-language pathology in August. She is the daughter of Rodney and Jody Wade.
- Jami Rodes is a 2008 graduate of Lahser High School and is currently studying health sciences at Oakland University. She is the daughter of Thomas and Kathleen Rodes.
- Leah Marie Rolinski is a 2008 graduate of Gaylord High School, currently enrolled at Saginaw Valley State University working toward a degree in fashion merchandising management. She is the daughter of Dan and Maggie Rolinski.
- Meg Howard is a 2006 graduate of Traverse City West Senior High School, currently attending Northwestern Michigan College, working towards a degree in licensed practical nursing. She is the daughter of Jim and Linda Howard.
