TRAVERSE CITY — A Sept. 27 informational forum will examine the proposal to release Traverse City park land to expand the Division Street corridor.
City commissioners are asking voters on Nov. 6 for permission to part with park land for future street improvements along Division. The 5:30 p.m. forum will be at the Traverse Area District Library and is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Grand Traverse area.
Featured speakers will be Ray Minervini II of the Grand Traverse Commons, Harry Burkholder of the Land Information Access Association and Margaret Barondess of the Michigan Department of Transportation.
