TRAVERSE CITY — State Sen. Darwin Booher, R-Evart, will serve as vice chair of the nonpartisan Great Lakes Legislative Caucus.
The caucus is composed of state and provincial lawmakers from the eight states and two Canadian provinces surrounding the Great Lakes. Members of the caucus elected Booher to the group's executive committee this month.
The caucus monitors and discusses policy issues related to the Great Lakes.
"I look forward to working with the caucus on important Great Lakes issues, such as dredging, water levels and invasive species," Booher said in a press release.
