Summer term dean's lists online
TRAVERSE CITY — The dean's lists from summer semester at Northwestern Michigan College are now posted online.

Museum closed for cleaning Sept. 6-10
TRAVERSE CITY — The Great Lakes Children's Museum will be closed Sept. 6-10 for cleaning, maintenance and improvements.
The museum will reopen Sept. 11. Fall hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday; 1-5 p.m. Sunday; closed Monday.

Tickets on sale for James Bradley talk
TRAVERSE CITY — Tickets are now on sale for "An Evening with James Bradley," the next event in the National Writers Series.
Bradley is the author of" Flags of Our Fathers," recently made into a movie directed by Clint Eastwood. The book is the true story of the six men, including Bradley's father, who raised the flag in 1945 on Iwo Jima, an image made iconic in the most reproduced photograph in history.
Tickets range from $15 to $35 for the 7 p.m. Sept 24 event at the City Opera House. Students and veterans get $10 off.
Net proceeds help support a scholarship fund for writing and arts students.
