Man allegedly fires eight rounds into home

CADILLAC -- A Wexford County family narrowly escaped an alleged attack by an armed man who police said fired eight rounds into their home with a high powered rifle.

State Police said just before 1 a.m. Monday a Traverse City man pulled up into the driveway at a home on 151/2 Road in Boon Township and fired into the home. Two adults and three children inside the residence were not injured. Police arrested a 48-year-old man at a residence about a mile away where they recovered both the weapon and vehicle used in the shooting.

The man's name was not released pending arraignment.
