Health officials investigate death of Central Lake student

— CENTRAL LAKE — Health officials are investigating the death of a Central Lake Elementary School second-grader.

The female student was pronounced dead at Charlevoix Area Hospital on Jan. 20, said Dan Reynolds, administrative services manager at the Health Department of Northwest Michigan.

The cause of her death remained unknown as of Jan. 21, Reynolds said.
