Suttons Bay — Nationally known illustrator, watercolorist, oil and acrylic painter Stan Fellows will be painting and conducting clinics at Silver Leaf Vineyard.
Fellows has been an illustrator for 35 years, and painted for magazines, corporate clients and children's books. He taught watercolor painting and illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and also taught watercolor workshops in Iowa City, where he lives with his daughter.
A watercolor landscape demonstration will be offered at 2 p.m. on July 27, and on Aug. 2. A three-hour Introduction to Watercolor will be offered in two parts starting at 2 p.m. on July 28, and on Aug. 3. A demonstration of plein air painting will be held July 29 and Aug. 4, while a demonstration of large acrylic painting will be on July 30 and Aug. 5. Introduction to Journal Drawing, aimed at individuals who claim they cannot draw a straight line, will meet for two hours July 30 and Aug. 6.
All classes are a donation of $10 and will meet at the vineyard, 11087 Silver Leaf Farm Road. Clinics will be limited. Classes can and may be repeated. For details or clinic reservations, call 271-3111.
