TRAVERSE CITY — Deputies arrested a Traverse City man who they said possessed multiple bags of heroin.
Grand Traverse County authorities this week charged Justin Robert Eager, 24, with possessing less than 25 grams of heroin and marijuana possession. The heroin charge is punishable by up to four years in prison and/or $25,000.
Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies arrested Eager shortly after they stopped the vehicle he was traveling in for a defective exhaust system, court records show. Deputies smelled marijuana in the vehicle and eventually found it, along with bags of heroin.
Eager told deputies the drugs were his, authorities said, and were purchased near the Long Lake beach area.
