Power outage planned in Kalkaska

KALKASKA — A planned outage will cut power to approximately 2,100 Consumers Energy customers early Saturday morning.

The outage will begin at 5 a.m. Saturday and should last about 15 minutes, Consumers officials said. It will allow utility crews to complete equipment repairs to the Kalkaska substation. Affected customers are those roughly in the area between Wood Road to the north and M-72 to the south, and the Kettle Lake area west to Smith Lake Road.
