TRAVERSE CITY — City police arrested a Traverse City man after they said he stole tobacco from a local gas station.
Police went to the Marathon station on East Eighth Street about 1 p.m. Thursday. An attendant told an officer she suspected a man, 49, had just stolen something from inside the station.
The officer tracked down the suspect and found he had a bag of pipe tobacco from the station. The suspect also was wanted on three separate warrants for failing to appear in court on other charges.
