Reward offered in Possum Pie incident

TRAVERSE CITY — Grand Traverse sheriff's officials said someone offered a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for burning a poodle named "Possum Pie."

The Humane Society of the United States also offered a $2,500 reward to help solve an ongoing animal cruelty case regarding the poodle mix found dead and partially burned last year in Meadow Lane mobile home park. The $1,000 reward is available for 90 days, according to a sheriff's department statement.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Silent Observer Tip Line at 947-8477.
