TRAVERSE CITY — A public forum for judicial candidates seeking election to the 86th District Court is scheduled for Thursday 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Traverse Area District Library, 410 Woodmere Ave.
The 86th District Court covers Antrim, Grand Traverse, and Leelanau Counties.
And on July 19, candidates for Probate Judge in Leelanau County have been invited to participate in a public forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Leelanau County Governmental Center, 9527 Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay. Both forums are sponsored by the League of Women Voters Grand Traverse Area and the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association.
The primary election is Aug. 3. The top two vote-getters in each judicial race will square off in the November general election.
